The IUCN National Committee of the Netherlands (IUCN NL) invites applications for its Land Acquisition Fund (LAF), supporting locally operating #NGOs to secure threatened natural areas through direct land purchase or long-term lease. The fund prioritises urgent conservation opportunities where biodiversity is at risk.


#Funding Details


Grant amount: up to €100,000 per project.


Funding supports private land acquisition or long-term lease agreements to protect critical habitats.


#Focus Areas


Priority is given to sites hosting IUCN Red List species classified as Critically Endangered or Endangered.



Eligible regions include Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific.



Open to locally operating NGOs with proven conservation experience and legal capacity to acquire or secure land for long-term protection.
